really slow computer really getting really annoying...really
I really haven't found any set pattern to when it works and when it locks up nice and tight, although I suspect it's dependent on how long I'm running. I went into an online game, and went "blah": this was REALLY choppy. I had a hunch, though, that it had to do with the OpenGL/Unreal test.

Video choppy when package
Thanks! one thing i have noticed is that flash really wants a good computer to run super smoothly. I thought so! I've checked out some Flash clips at work and even though they look really nice, they're all just slightly choppy. Also, I just reduced my images down from 300 dpi to 72 dpi, and redid the whole clip

ASSISTANCE REQUESTED: GLQuake installed but video REALLY slow ...
I just bought NFSHP2, most of the tracks run smoothly on the AIW7500, except the one with the forest and trees, it gets choppy (middle of the road effects settings), I have a P3-1GHz and 512MB PC133. Recording seems more robust with this card than my old one, and I got the AIW 7500 for $148 back in May.

HELP! .mov video files are REALLY choppy
I can live with choppy music and generally slow response, but no mouse leaves you wondering what to do. If I do happen to get the pointer back for a moment Is a 486 really just too slow for any dive work? maybe it is the CL card, I have a 5446 running on a pentium 200mmx and have had similar problems with ent.

U9 is still a bit choppy in places, and hasn't really improved much considering the increase in CPU speed. The video card is my hope for improved performance now. If that won't do it, which isn'ta bad thing. Just don't expect the game to run noticeably faster; its bottleneck isn't in the video pipeline. John.

My Voodoo/Flash 3D Experience...
Are you running it in Open GL or d3d? Are you trying to run it in 32 bit color as opposed to 16? 32 bit color will really slow things down. can't for the life of me get N4 running with decent frame rates. I have to turn just about everything off, or turn on low in order to keep everything from being so choppy.

Everything runs like it should except graphics are REALLY slow (about 1fps), and sound is choppy.I've been wrestling with it for about a week now and I'm close to I presume it's win95/98 from what you describe it sounds like your running opengl in software mode you need to install your video card drivers again.

Item=N82E16814125083 FS X is a bit too choppy in the old card and I could use a boost in CAD as well. Any thoughts appreciated. BTW I'm running a nearly silent Sony desktop so fanless is really important. Given the 8600GT's DX9 performance is roughly that of a 7600GT it's not much of an upgrade from a 7600GS.
