HELP! Doom runnin' really choppy on OS/2
If you get really tired of it, a program was suggested by someone in another forum. Go to the below website and check out Process Explorer. It is about the same as Task Manager, but makes it more clear what you see. If you do have something running hidden, I don't know whether this product will see it or not.

What with the super choppy ps2 pics?
It's strange because it seems to get choppy in bursts. I tried lowering the detail, resolution, and even turned off the on screen clock and other eye candy. I figured I'd try 2003 since I skipped 2002. I'm not a avid gamer by any means, but I would really like to get this running better. TIA Josh.

I do see the movie, it's just very very choppy (until the very last bit, though thats still choppy). Try defragging the hard drive. This could be the problem if the movie is being run from the hard drive. or maybe your cd-rom drive's seek time is subpar to what the game's seek time requires to play the videos.

Yeah, I've got SoF Platinum so it's pretty much patched to the max. ;) I really just think it could be the Voodoo 3. You can get Deus Ex for the PC very cheap this days and it's definitly worth it. If you can run SOF you should be able to run Deus Ex. I think it may have even had Glide support.

The Voodoo wasn't really choppy, but it did slow down in turns with many cars more frequently than the Verite. Both looked basically the same.

Just tuning up the hard drive and letting the playback I don't know anything about BCBugger's hard drive or status, or yours, so I'm really kind of guessing here with very little to go by.
